When one of our Facebook community members grabbed me two weeks ago and said "Hey Jerome, you guys should look into this charity foundation", I went to work and did a little digging into The Folds of Honor Foundation. I got in touch with Mike Herron by email and asked him to send me the salient points about the charity. Namely, precise examples of who they help, how and why. Mike pointed me to these links describing recipients, testimonials, and scholarships.
The concept is really simple. When our boy in uniform get killed or banged up in action, who has their back back home to take care of their remaining families and kids? Too often, the answer is simply "no one". So this foundation was established to make sure these families were taken care of educationally. As Marvin is big into the "family" concept, I thought this would be a great opportunity to pitch in and say "hey guys, thank you, we got your six".
We were happy to send out one of our rectangular M013 pieces to Mike for auction purposes, and hope this very tiny contribution will serve to help the families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our Nation.
